Bio
Wetsuit is a Brooklyn-based band fronted by songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist Allison Becker, guitarist Anders Nils, bassist Paul DeSilva, and drummer Tess Kramer. Wetsuit makes "delightfully wonky indie rock" (Post-Trash) that "sounds like Regina Spektor fronting Beach House" (The Big Takeover)
In a COVID quarantine origin story, Becker was stuck at her parents’ home in St. Louis when she pulled her abandoned Squier strat out of the closet. Armed with some Zoom guitar lessons, Becker began writing songs for the first time on the floor of her childhood bedroom.
Wetsuit’s debut album "Sugar, I'm Tired" was released on August 17th 2023 via Substitute Scene Records. They've showcased at New Colossus Festival, Rogue Music Festival and were named one of “Brooklyn's Hardest Working Bands” by Oh My Rockness in 2023.
They are currently working on their 2nd record with Asheville based producer, Alex Farrar (Indigo de Souza, Wednesday, Squirrel Flower).
